Columnists

This extension allows you to choose some users from your site and show their latest articles in a module.

Instructions
  • Go to User Manager and learn the IDs of authors that you want to show in the module
  • Go to Module Manager and Columnists module
  • Enter these IDs into the ‘Author ID’ field by separating them with a comma
  • Configure the other parameters as you wish
  • Publish the module

For author images use the images directory parameter to set a directory, then put images in it with user id and file extension. (e.g. Administrator’s ID is 62, you should put an image with the name 62.png)

System Requirements
  • PHP 5 or newer
  • MySQL 4.1 or newer

Please note that current version of this module won't work with PHP 4. If you are using that version of PHP and still want to use it you can download version 0.9.0 from here. But don't forget that 0.9.0 is not supported and won't take any further updates.

  6. If you are having problems for author images in 1.0.0, please upgrade to 1.0.1 which has just been released today. This version fixes the problem. Thanks for reports for the bug.

Herhangi bir sebeple yeni sürüm çıkartacak olursan bence eklemeye değer. Bu arada yeni projede kullanırken yine ne kadar güzel bir modül olduğunu hatırlamış oldum. Grsel düzenleme için de çok uygun.

  22. @Bülent Turgut 1- Modulu yükleyip uygun pozisyonda yayına verin. 2- Yazar olarak belirlediğiniz üyelerin id numaralarını modul ayarlarında bulunan Author ID bölümüne aralarına virgül koyarak yazın. 3- Yazarlara ait fotoğrafları hazırlayın ve dosya isimlerini yazar ID numarası ile aynı olacak şekilde kaydedin. (Örnek: 65.png gibi.) Bu dosyaları sitenizin “modules/mod_columnists/images” klasörü içine yükleyin. İşlem sonunda yazarlara ait son yazılar resimleri ile birlikte sitenizi yenilediğinizde modul içinde görünecektir. Modul ve yazarlar görünmüyorsa bu yazarlara ait makale olmadığındandır. Yazarlara ait son makaleler eklentisi Yazarların yayınladıkları diğer makaleleri yazı sonunda göstermek için yine Sayın Ercan Özkaya tarafından yazılan Author Details plugini kullanmanız gerekmektedir.(Plugini bu siteden indirebilirsiniz) Plugin ayarlarından yazarlara ait son yazıları gizli veya açılır şekilde göstermeniz mümkündür.

  25. I've been trying to make it so that I can choose to display the last N number of articles for each author, instead of only the last. Another idea would be to display the last articles in a date range, like "Published last week" or "Published last month", which would be set in the properties in module. Could this be achieved with the current programming or would it have to be changed a lot?

  37. Ercan, I love your module, it works great! However, I really would like it sorted by the newest article. Currently it sorts by the order that I typed in the userid in the parameters but I do not want the same person on the top of the list all the time. Is there any way to change this?

  42. I've been trying to set this up at our site and can't seem to get the images to load. What I've noticed is that our pages show up with a URL like: http://www.clickmarkets.net/index.php/learn/strategies/11-push-your-news-to-your-audience.html but the icons are here: http://www.clickmarkets.net/images/63.png The settings for image directory is "images" but it still only shows the silhouettes. Any suggestions? We running Joomla v 1.5.9. Thanks!

  44. benim farklı bir sorum olacak, yazarlar çıkıyor, yazıları çıkıyor, fakat yazının üstüne gelince aynı anda yazım tarihi,intro bilgisiyle bide yazının başlğı üst üste geliyor bu sefer alttaki tarih ve intro okunmuyor. default.php yi karıştırdım denemeler yaptım ama olmadı, var mıdır acaba bir çözümü ?
